How does it work?
The cutting action of our spark erosion machines is accomplished by creating a series of intermittent electric arcs (just like arc welding). Which will melt even the hardest metals into miniscule particles. This is known as spark erosion.
An electrode, machined to the specific diameter of your application, vibrates as it cuts while water is pumped through the electrode to wash away the powdered metal. This way, there is no heat transfer to the surrounding material and the temperature stays around 45° C.
